You can also click <a href="https://github.com/praydog/REFramework/releases/download/v1.5.9.1/MHWILDS.zip" target="_blank">here</a> to download the latest version (v1.5.9.1).
 
To install, just extract the "dinput8.dll" into your game folder, that's it. You also have to make sure you play in "Online Single Player" mode, which can be selected from the main menu after you've beaten the prologue. You will notice a little window "REFramework" pop up when you start the game, just press "insert" to close it. 
 
How to find the game folder? It is where your game is installed, you can right click "Monster Hunter Wilds" inside your steam library and select "Browse Local Files". It will open the location for you.
 
How to extract dinput8.dll? You will need either Winrar or 7Zip, which commonly used for zip files. You can google "how to install 7Zip" if you don't have it already. Then after you've downloaded the REFramework file called "MHWILDS", just right click and select "extract" or double click it to open it right away. You can ignore all the other files, you only need "dinput8.dll".
 
What is REFramework? It is a mod framework, scripting platform, and modding tool for RE Engine games. It is entirely safe to use, easy to install and remove and will not impact your game performance. It simply removes the anti tamper from capcom games enabling people to mod the game, which also in a lot of cases improves performance and fixes stuttering and lag.
 
Why REFramework? The latest Monster Hunter game introduces very heavy anti cheat mechanics, which are unfortunately nearly impossible to remove during runtime, which used to be our usual method.
